DMX and Swizz Beatz have crafted countless creations over the years. Their collaborative relationship stretches back to the early Ruff Ryders days. With X out of prison, it looks like the dynamic duo is working on their next venture.

On Tuesday evening (March 5), X shared a photo of Swizz and himself on Instagram, showing both of them posted up at the studio rocking a similar pose.

Swizz was one of the first to provide an update on the historically troubled MC’s mental state post-prison.

“I just got off the phone with my brother DMX!” he wrote on Instagram late last month. “He told me this time he didn’t work out his body in jail he said he worked out his mind! He also said he’s about to make music for the people that need his truth and pain!”

Swizz and X famously united for the “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” in 1998 as well as a decent chunk of Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood.

In 2003, they teamed up for “Get It On The Floor” and “A Yo’ Kato,” which were both taken from X’s fifth studio album Grand Champ.

They also posse’d up on two tracks from X’s Year Of The Dog … Again album in 2006: “We In Here” and “Come Thru (Move).”

X was released from prison in January after serving roughly one year for tax evasion.
