R. Kelly was finally able to come up with the $100,000 he needed to bond out. On Monday afternoon (February 25), the disgraced R&B star walked out of a Cook County jail and headed straight for the Rock n’ Roll McDonald’s in the River North area of Chicago.

As SPIN notes, it’s the same McDonald’s where Kelly allegedly met up with a young girl for prom night in 1998. According to a 2002 lawsuit (which was later settled out of court), Kelly impregnated the girl and reportedly forced her to abort the child.

In the BBC documentary R Kelly: Sex, Girls and Videotapes, Kelly’s former studio engineer James Lee revealed Kelly would sometimes pick up girls at the same McDonald’s.

“He would occasionally go to this McDonald’s and come back to the studio with a girl or two,” Lee said. “Going to McDonald’s to pick up chicks. That’s what a 17-year-old does.”

Following Kelly’s fast food stop, he reportedly hit up a cigar lounge in the Gold Coast neighborhood with Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary — two women whose parents claim Kelly is holding against their will.

Kelly was indicted on 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse on Friday (February 22). The following day, he turned himself in to Chicago authorities. He was unable to post the $100,000 bond until Monday (February 25), the same day he officially pleaded not guilty to the charges.

His next court appearance is scheduled for March 22. If convicted of the charges, Kelly faces up to 70 years in prison.
