Kanye West ignited a Twitter firestorm on Thursday (December 13) when he went after Drake. After multiple (multiple) tweets airing out his beef with the 6 God, he ultimately revealed Drake had somehow threatened him.

Subsequently, Kayne’s wife Kim Kardashian came to ‘Ye’s defense and suggested without him, there’d be no Drizzy.

“@drake Never threaten my husband or our family,” she tweeted. “He paved the way for there to be a Drake.”

But Kardashian isn’t entirely wrong. In 2009, Drake released the So Far Gone mixtape, which featured the Kanye-produced track, “Say What’s Real.” The beat originally came from Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak cut “Say You Will.” The song in question is what initially sparked Kanye’s entire rant this week when he was sent a text message saying Drake asked ‘Ye to clear “Say What’s Real” for him.

Consequently, the reality television star got pummeled in the comment section. Many people just wanted her to stay out of it, but others were offended Kardashian didn’t give credit to Lil Wayne for putting Drake on.
