Cleveland, OH

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame committee has unveiled its Class of 2019. Once again, LL Cool J didn’t make the cut. The Radio mastermind and Kennedy Center Honors recipient has been up for the honor five times but hasn’t managed to get past the nomination phase.

The famed Rock Hall, which is located in Cleveland, Ohio, has only inducted a handful of Hip Hop acts, including Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, N.W.A, Tupac Shakur and Run-DMC.

Along with LL and Kraftwerk, Devo, Todd Rundgren and John Prine, Rage Against the Machine, the 1970s funk band Rufus featuring Chaka Khan and the Detroit rock band MC5 were also rejected.

The 34th annual Rock Hall induction ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 29 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
