New York, NY

Anderson .Paak made an appearance on the Claire Foy-hosted Saturday Night Live last night (December 1) and brought out Kendrick Lamar for a performance of “Tints” off Oxnard.

Paak did his thing on the drums while simultaneously (and impressively) singing the song and then K. Dot slowly made a way on stage to give the audience his magnetic verse.

The Aftermath musician also gave an energetic performance of the Dr. Dre-produced “Who R U.”

Dr. Dre is the executive producer of Oxnard and in a recent interview with HipHopDX’s editor-in-chief Trent Clark for Soulful Sundays, Cheeky Andy explains how he and Dre normally get through their creative differences.

“You just gotta fight for it if you really feeling it,” Paak noted. “The people that he works with, he has that respect for. And if he’s putting that much time into it, he respects your opinion too. He’s not gonna put that much time into someone that he’s gotta do all the work. So, we meet each other halfway. And he’s always like, ‘Your call AP,’ at the end of the day.”

Oxnard hit #11 on the Billboard 200 charts upon its release and was granted a DX Review score of 4.2.
