Tekashi 6ix9ine is apparently taking back control of his career. In a new Instagram video, the polarizing rapper revealed he just let go of his entire team.

Consequently, he was forced to cancel all dates on his American tour and warned promotors not to give their money to anyone saying they work for him.

“I’m letting everybody know that I canceled my whole tour,” he says. “The American dates is not happening it’s not going down … I fired everybody on my team. I got no manager, I got no booking agent, no PR, no publicist. I ain’t got nobody on my team. It’s just me.

If you’re booking shows, do not book shows unless I say this show is going to be booked with this person. They will steal your money. They’re not me. I’m not signing no fuckin’ contracts. That don’t got nothing to do with me. Whoever is booking shows for Tekashi 6ix9ine is stealing your fuckin’ money. If you not on the phone with me, do not book that show ’cause it’s not me.”

He wraps up his announcement with a release date for his upcoming album.

“I fired everybody,” he continues. “I don’t give a fuck who you used to see me with, they’re no longer around. It’s a fuckin’ dub. November 23 the album drop.”

While 6ix9ine didn’t give a specific reason for the aggressive move, a disgruntled ex-employee — Anthony Jamel Ellison — was just arrested and indicted for 6ix9ine’s alleged kidnapping and robbery earlier this week. It’s entirely possible he simply wants a clean slate and people around him he can trust.
