Diddy sat down with Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday’s episode (October 25) of Ellen where he insisted he wasn’t scared of clowns. DeGeneres decided to test that theory during the show.

“Halloween’s coming up,” DeGeneres said. “Is this story true? I wanna know. I heard you’re scared of clowns.”

Diddy replied “No. That’s impossible. Because I’m a black man.”

As the Hip Hop mogul continued talking about how he’s not scared of clowns, a clown looking a lot like Pennywise from the Stephen King film IT popped up out of the table next to him. Diddy sprang out of his seat and ended up busting a move as he shook the fear from his body.

DeGeneres looked on, laughing hysterically. Diddy’s reaction was so over-the-top, they had to play it again.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Diddy addressed the new Capital Prep charter school he’s opening in the Bronx and admitted he wasn’t doing press but made an exception for his friend Ellen.
