Azealia Banks is back to being Azealia Banks. In a string of Instagram Stories, the controversial Harlem rapper professed her support for Kanye West and his meeting with Donald Trump at the White House earlier this week.
“You have to commend Kanye for doing what everyone else is afraid to do,” she wrote. “It’s VERY likely that Donald Trump will be re-elected for a second term. I think we’ve all established that Donald Trump is an asshole but for whatever reason he’s our president.
“And rather than stand on the sidelines and shout and scream at him, and chastise him and seek to blame him for the entirety of American history. SOMEONE needs to have the courage to at least try to make SOMETHING happen.”

While Kanye’s meeting with Trump consisted of a lot of ranting and raving — and 45 not really saying much — Banks thinks he went to the White House with a “level head.”
She added it was “adorable” to see two of the “most hated in the press people” have a conversation.
In a separate post, Banks reminded people she suggested someone should go talk to Trump numerous times.
