HipHopDX Premiere

New Jersey-bred MC Rasheed Chappell has surfaced with a new video for “My Epic (Portraits),” an ode to the people in his community.

Directed by foundationDIGITAL Films, the visual centers on Chappell’s potent lyrics while delivering a vintage looking black-and-white aesthetic. With introspective rhymes like, “I speak for you, I sincerely do/I see your beauty, they gon’ see it, too,” Chappell lays his heart on his sleeve.

The Kenny Dope-produced track is taken from Chappell’s recently released album, First Brick. The 10-track LP boasts guest appearances from O.C., Lil Fame (M.O.P.), DJ Scratch, CRIMEAPPLE, Daneil Son, Hus Kingpin, Recognize Ali, and Napoleon Da Legend.
