Three years after Earl Sweatshirt released his critically acclaimed I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, fans are still starving for new music. Alchemist took the anticipation up a notch on social media this week.

On Wednesday (October 3), a fan asked the veteran producer, “When that new Earl shit dropping?” Alchemist replied, “Listened to his new album again last nite that shit is a masterpiece.”

The release date for the project has yet to be announced.

The Odd Future alum has been keeping a relatively low profile since the January passing of his father, South African poet laureate Keorapetse Kgositsile.

He’s been gradually making his presence known again on the music front. A few weeks ago, the Doris mastermind jumped on Twitter and played some unreleased tracks in the background. In the since-deleted tweet, he stated, “The vibes… SRS COMING SOON THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER !!”

Earl will also be performing as part of the late Mac Miller’s upcoming charity concert.
