Seven years ago, Rihanna and Ciara had a public spat on Twitter after CiCi went on E!’s Fashion Police with Joan Rivers and described her previous interaction with RiRi as unpleasant.
Though they did squash their Twitter beef in less than 24 hours, these two names have rarely been seen in the same sentence until recently. Years later, some fun footage of Rihanna and her team singing Ciara’s chart-topping single “Goodies” at a karaoke bar has hit the internet.

Their very short-lived beef stems from Ciara sharing an anecdote about Rihanna on an episode of E!’s Fashion Police in 2011.

“I ran into her recently at a party and she wasn’t the nicest, and it’s crazy because I’ve always loved and respected what she’s done with fashion,” Ciara recalled. “I’ve ran into her before, but this time it wasn’t the most pleasant run-in.”
Ci’s comments were followed by Joan Rivers shouting out, “A bitch!”
Rihanna caught wind of Ciara’s story and responded via social media with some memorable Twitter beef lines, such as “My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme” and “Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.”

Thirty-minutes later, Rihanna issued an apology to Ciara, offering to make up and the “Level Up” singer accepted.

It appears RiRi and Ciara have been able to keep it cordial in subsequent years. Ci even gave the Anti singer a shout out on her birthday this year.
Happy Birthday @Rihanna
