NEW YORK, NY

It’s not often that you run into André 3000, one of Hip Hop’s most talented lyricists, while coincidentally wearing a t-shirt with an image of 3 Stacks. (For the record, he was wearing Anita Baker on his.)

But that’s exactly what happened to Twitter user @itsTiana during a casual stroll through New York City’s SoHo neighborhood. According to Tiana, who referred to André as her “mf hero,” he was leaving a coffee shop when they spotted each other.

“walking down a silent block in Soho – Andre 3k (my mf hero) walks out of a coffee shop as I’m passing. ‘Oh my God you’re on my shirt rn.’ He was acting just as hype as me, which maximized my level of happiness/excitement x10000. What a good day,” Tiana wrote in the caption to her photo with Mr. Benjamin.

The t-shirt — created by ALMGHT — featured an image of Andre from OutKast’s past festival tour. In the image, André is wearing a jumpsuit which features the quote: “Across cultures, darker people suffer more. Why?”

An apparent magnet for apparel-inspired coincidences, Andre 3000 also ran across former HipHopDX Editor-In-Chief Justin Hunte in 2016 while he was sporting a t-shirt emblazoned with the Outkast legend’s image.
