JAY-Z and Beyonce’s humanitarian and cultural efforts have earned the couple the key to the city of Columbia, South Carolina.
The powerhouse pair was given the honor on Tuesday (August 21), the day their On The Run II tour stopped in Columbia.
The city’s mayor, Steve Benjamin was able to present JAY-Z with the key to the city while backstage at Columbia’s Williams-Brice Stadium. Benjamin shared a photo of himself handing the key to a smiling JAY-Z and added the following caption:

In addition to earning the key to the city, August 21 is now Beyonce Knowles Carter and Shawn Carter Day in Columbia.
