After almost 30 years, legendary guitarist and Prophets Of Rage member Tom Morello continues to use music as his platform to fight for social justice. He shows no signs of slowing down on his new song “Rabbit’s Revenge” featuring electronica DJ/producer Bassnectar and Dungeon Family affiliates Big Boi and Killer Mike.

The song is the lead single from his forthcoming album The Atlas Underground, and its featured in the trailer for the upcoming film The Predator. Morello, known for his crunchy punk-rock guitar style and eardrum-piercing chords, shreds his way through the track with Big Boi and Killer Mike ferociously rhyming over Bassnectar’s cacophonous production.

Morello offers insight on the concept of the song and cross-genrenderground album. “‘Rabbit’s Revenge’ is the hard rocking, cross genre banger I was aiming for when I envisioned The Atlas Underground record,” Morello says of the napalm of a track. “Bassnectar, Big Boi, Killer Mike and I combining forces to fight police brutality. We are not violent, but the music is.”

The song’s visual starts with a hooded shadow with a menacing warped voice saying the songs chorus “We can see what’s happening, we can read between the lines.” Thereafter, Morello stands alone in a darkened warehouse before being joined by the Outkast rapper and the Run The Jewels MC. Throughout the song, there is a ongoing display of African-Americans victims who were killed by white oppressors and police officers.

This October, the Rage Against The Machine co-founder will be promoting The Atlas Underground on a seven-city tour.
