The wait for a joint album between former Murder Inc. powerhouses Ashanti and Ja Rule may soon be over.

One day after Ja Rule offered praise to Beyoncé and JAY-Z for their (DX-certified 5.0) EVERYTHING IS LOVE album, and suggested he and Ashanti should also put out a joint album, Ashanti confirmed the duo is going to “make it happen.”

“We’re gonna carve out the time and make it happen,” Ashanti said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the BET Awards red carpet on Sunday (June 24). “It’s so funny because we’ve been talking about that for so long, but I think now he’s like ‘OK, now it’s time to do it.'”

Although Ja and Ashanti have never released a joint album with one another, the pair has appeared on several hit songs together, including “Mesmerize” and “Always On Time.”
