Among the contestants to appear on Tuesday’s (May 29) premiere of America’s Got Talent was teen rapper Flau’jae.

Hailing from Savannah, Georgia, Flau’jae revealed to the show’s judges that her father was killed by gun violence before she was born.

“Before I was born, my father he was a rapper. And he died before I was born, so he couldn’t fulfill his dream. So, that’s what I’m here to do,” Flau’jae said, before beginning her audition.

As fate would have it, her father was Savannah 21-year-old rapper Camoflauge, who was murdered in May 2003 as his buzz started to creep outside the local area. His murder still remains unsolved.
