R. Kelly has addressed his critics through a newly brandished video that’s sure to raise some eyebrows.

On May 18, a Facebook Live video attributed to retired NBA star Antoine Walker of the controversial singer stating it was “too late” to silence him has since gone viral.

In the video, Kelly tells a receptive crowd, “I got a million muthafuckas hating me, or 40 billion muthafuckas loving me, you know what I’m saying? … I am handcuffed, like a lot of you muthafuckas, I’m handcuffed by my destiny. It’s too late, they shoulda did this shit 30 years ago. It’s too late. The music has been injected into the world. OK? I hired my mutherfucking self.”

Before the video cuts off, he gives a toast, “It’s muthafuckas like you, is why I still continue to do what I do, because I have a basketball mentality. You understand? As long as I got the ball, the world is on defense.”

Since last July, Kelly has been a regular target of accusations of sexual misconduct, including running a sex cult and knowingly infecting a woman with herpes.

The #MuteRKelly movement has since emerged, while Spotify, Apple and Pandora have removed Kelly’s music from their curated playlists. The movement has also asked RCA and Ticketmaster to drop him.
