Actress, singer-songwriter, and Love & Hip Hop star Teairra Mari is taking legal action against Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, alleging that he teamed up with her ex-boyfriend, Akbar Abdul-Ahad, to leak her sex tape without permission.

Through her attorney, Lisa Bloom, Mari issued a press release that said she was the victim of “revenge porn,” and that Abdul-Ahad posted the sex tape “to publicly humiliate her after she had broken up with him.”

The press release also says that Abdul-Ahad is friends with Power executive producer 50 Cent, who reposted the explicit images to his 18 million Instagram followers. He later claimed Instagram had censored him and taken the images down, and left the app, although he’s back now.

Bloom said she would be hosting a press conference in her office on Thursday (May 17) to fully address the allegations.

In response, Fif took to Instagram to clown the situation, posting a picture of himself with Bloom’s mother, women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred, and threatening to “call her mother” if she didn’t ease up.

It’s unclear how much Mari is seeking in punitive damages, but it’s suggested this will be addressed during Bloom’s press conference.

This isn’t the first time that 50 has been in hot water because of a social media posting. His most infamous incident concluded in 2015, when he was ordered to pay $5 million to Lastonia Leviston — Rick Ross’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of one of his children — for his part in releasing a sex tape without her permission. Shortly thereafter, the rapper filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, which ultimately ended with him providing a $23 million payout to his creditors, including Leviston.
