The world may never know how OJ would’ve done it… IF he did it.
 
If I Did It, the controversial book and TV special centered around how former football star OJ Simpson would’ve killed his ex wife, Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman will not see the light of day on Fox.
 
After a firestorm of criticism from the American public, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch responded by pulling the TV special and it’s accompanying book of the same title.
 
“I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project,” said Murdoch. “We are sorry for any pain
that this has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.”
 
News Corp. owns both FOX and the book’s publisher through Harper Collins, Regan Books.
 
Before
news of the cancellation, nine Fox affiliates decided not to run the
broadcast after receiving angry letters and phone calls from viewers.
 
The Goldman family was particularly upset about the news of the If I Did It TV special and book.
 
“He destroyed my son and took from my family Ron’s future and life. And for that I’ll hate him always and find him despicable,” Ron’s father, Fred told ABC.
 
Judith Regan, of Regan Books, considered the book to be OJ’s confession.
