While the Hip Hop community still reels from the death of Bad Boy star Craig Mack, who passed away on Monday (March 12), Sean “Diddy” Combs has gathered his thoughts. On Tuesday (March 13), the Bad Boy founder penned a tribute to the fallen MC on social media, thanking him for his contributions to Hip Hop.

“Craig Mack, you were the first artist to release music on Bad Boy and gave us our first hit,” Diddy wrote. “You always followed your heart and you had an energy that was out of this world. You believed in me and you believed in Bad Boy. I will never forget what you did for hip-hop.”

Diddy continued his sentiments with a second Twitter post, which read, “You inspired me and will continue to inspire us. We will always love you.”

But the Hip Hop mogul wasn’t done there. Diddy also posted several photos and a video of Mack on Instagram and reiterated his integral role at Bad Boy Records. Mack’s 1994 smash hit, “Flava In Ya Ear,” was the iconic imprint’s first major single.
