Bow Wow has literally grown up in the public eye. On his forthcoming release, The Price of Fame, the pint sized emcee is ready to show the world how much he’s matured.
One track in particular, that Bow Wow addressed on MTV’s TRL is System, which is more than likely about R&B singer Ciara, his ex.
“It’s
about a certain relationship I was in, but how I feel about it now. And
this [song] is a letter to that person. I’m finally getting the
opportunity to get that off my chest. I look at The Price of Fame as a
diary. And I’m just welcoming everybody into what’s been going on from
a year and a half ago until now with me. That song is the one that
really speaks, because it’s about me getting someone out of my system
to make me feel good, but it’s hard to do that when you really like
someone.”

Don’t expect this latest release to be all love songs (though the lead single, Shortie Like Mine featuring Chris Brown may make it seem that way), Bow says this album is for rap fans as well.
On, Four Corners , he’ll be paired with Lil Wayne, new comer Shortdog and another emcee to show off his skills on the mic.
In fact, Bow Wow is confident that the album will have fans running for the rewind button on their stereo or iPod.
”When people hear this record they gonna be like, ‘Sh–, I know he didn’t just say that! Rewind that.’”
