Las Vegas, NV

Flavor Flav found himself the recipient of an old fashioned beatdown in a Las Vegas casino earlier this week, according to TMZ.

Law enforcement officials reportedly said the altercation occurred on Tuesday (September 23) at the South Point Casino. The suspect, Ugandi Howard, accused the Public Enemy vet of disrespecting his mother. Flav told police Howard hit him in the face and kicked him after he’d fallen to the ground.

Flav says he fell because he’d pulled a groin muscle. Howard was taken into custody by casino security personnel and once police arrived, Howard was cited for battery and released. The whole thing was caught on video, as seen below.

The Flavor of Love star was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries but Flav’s manager assures HipHopDX, “He’s okay. He’s in lots of pain, but is safe.”

Although the clock-wielding multi-instrumentalist was born in New York, the 58-year-old Hip Hop legend has been living in Sin City for years. He recently spoke to DX about his upcoming endeavors, which includes a variety show, Flavor Flav’s Vegas. A Kickstarter campaign was initially launched to help fund the project, but it has since been taken down.

During the exclusive interview, he also touched on his currently fractured relationship with Public Enemy frontman Chuck D but assured P.E. fans they would “iron out” the wrinkles. Flav filed a lawsuit against Chuck and BTNE Productions last September.
