“Afro Puffs” legend The Lady of Rage has been in the hospital since at least Wednesday (January 3), although the cause of her hospitalization is currently unknown. The former Death Row Records signee took to Instagram on Thursday (January 4) to thank her fans and peers for the outpouring of support.

“I just want to Thank everyone who has been showing me and ovewhelming amount of love, support, prayers, visits, phone calls, well wishes,” she captioned an Instagram photo. “It means so much…I never knew so many people cared. I’m really grateful to all of you who have taken the time to send a lil love my way.”

Ice Cube protégée and fellow rapper/actor Yo-Yo shared a pair of photos on Instagram showing Rage in a hospital gown and hooked up to an I.V. Her caption read, “Say a prayer for my big sis of HipHop @theladyofrage_ We love you baby.”

Rage, who recently linked up with MC Eiht on the Compton MC’s Which Way Iz Westproject (which made HipHopDX’s list of 2017’s Most Slept-On Rap Albums), rose to prominence alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg during the ’90s West Coast gangsta rap heyday.
