It’s not every day Post Malone calls himself a “porcupine” and admits he handled real grenades while drunk, but that’s what DJ Whoo Kid got out of the Stoney rapper during a recent episode of TheWhoolywood Shuffle.

Malone also expressed how much he admired Future and referred to him as “trap Jesus.” The two super rappers have teamed up multiple times, most notably on the “Congratulations” remix, which also features Migos member Quavo. Malone was also an opener on the Future HNDRXX Tour, which kicked off in July and wrapped up in October.

“I’ve always been a big Future fan,” he said. “He’s trap Jesus. He’s got a lot of soul in his voice. A lot of haters don’t give him the credit he deserves because mainstream people will be like, ‘Oh, Auto-Tune.’ He’s a fantastic vocalist and he really has a lot of expression in his voice.”

“He makes some very sad songs but they’re still turnt up at the same time,” he added. “I can really appreciate that.”

Later in the interview, Malone talked about working with 21 Savage on their collaborative track “Rockstar,” the first single from his upcoming Beerbongs and Bentleys album.

“He’s fire,” he explains. “I really wanted that energy ’cause he brings such a dope energy to records. It’s so easy for him. He can just say whatever he wants and it is fucking hyped. It’s good shit. I knew I wanted him on it ever since I finished my part of the record. He just delivered and it was fucking awesome.”

Malone’s last album, Stoney, has remained on the Billboard 200 chart for the past 52 weeks with a peak position of #4.
