Toronto, ON

The second leg of King Of The Dot’s “World Domination 7” took place in Toronto, Canada on Saturday night (October 21) after a well-received showing in Los Angeles for part one.

The Canadian card’s main event pitted Harlem against Brooklyn as KOTD champion Head I.C.E went up against Cortez in a much-anticipated rematch.

The two lyricists first squared off at a Lionz Den battle in 2009. Judged by New York legends Raekwon, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Styles P and Rakim, the match is widely regarded as one of the best from that era by many fans and commentators. I.C.E walked away with the official win that night, although the result is still debated by many long-time fans.

On Saturday night, I.C.E retained his status as KOTD champion. The battle’s result has again been controversial, with many fans believing that Cortez was robbed. In a Twitter poll conducted by league founder Organik following the battle, over 60% of fans felt that Cortez took the W.

Following the battle, both Head I.C.E and Cortez took to social media to offer their take on the night’s proceedings.
