Rochester Hills, MI

Eminem is selling his Rochester Hills, Michigan mansion for $2 million, 42 percent less than he bought the gated estate for in 2003, according to E! News. The five-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bath house was originally purchased for $4.75 million at the peak of Slim Shady’s dominance in the industry. He made the lavish purchase shortly after The Eminem Show dropped in 2002 and right before he released Encore in 2004.

The Missouri-born MC spent the bulk of his life in Michigan and came up in the Detroit rap scene before exploding into superstardom. Eight solo studio albums and millions of record sales later, and Em is reportedly finishing his ninth, which is expected to arrive this fall.

His 2005 album, Curtain Call: The Hits, recently became Billboard’s longest-charting Hip Hop album in the chart’s history.
