Chaz French's Open Bar Contest Gives MCs A Chance To Win $1,000

Chaz French wants to provide a skilled MC with $1,000.

The Motown Records artist has teamed up with the music creation app RecordGram for the Open Bar Contest, which is seeking the hottest 16 bars to add to his Shy Glizzy-assisted track “Hol’ Up.”

Rappers can enter by downloading the app, clicking on the Chaz French Open Bars banner and following the instructions to record and upload their own verse for “Hol’ Up.” Submissions are open now with French ultimately selecting a winner who receives $1,000 and a prize pack courtesy of Capitol/Motown Records.

“I’m excited about partnering with RecordGram,” he said in a press release. “I think this platform has huge potential. I’m definitely interested in all things where music and tech intersect.”
