Philadelphia, PA

Meek Mill is evidently surprised fellow rapper Trick Daddy went on a social media rant aimed at him over the weekend.

The Miami rapper’s Instagram tantrum was among a handful of topics Meek discussed during an appearance on Philadelphia’s Power 99 FM with Cosmic Kev. When initially asked about the video, which found Trick blasting Meek over comments he made about his influence on Miami, Meek said he didn’t get it.

He also referenced the OGs in Philly and claimed they’d never turn to social media if they had an issue with someone.

“I don’t understand it either,” Meek said. “And this one thing with me too — I come from Philadelphia. All our OGs, they don’t get on Instagram where we from. And if they want to say something to somebody, they go say something to ’em. They get in contact to ’em. And they say it with ’em. Especially if it’s on that type of level of anger.”

He quickly shifted focus back to his album Wins & Losses, which was released on July 21.

“I worked hard on this album,” he said. “I don’t think you should be able to go on Instagram and just rant and go crazy. And then just be mentioned in an interview. It’s about Wins & Losses … I ain’t really trying to talk about negativity … I will always being handled with respect.”
