Kendrick Lamar’s third full-length album, DAMN., continued its commercial dominance with a recent double platinum certification from the RIAA a few weeks ago. The Compton native took to Twitter Monday morning (July 24) to thank his fans and dedicate his “murals” to those who support him.

“These murals forever belong to my fans,” Kung Fu Kenny wrote. “You’ve always taken my words above and beyond. Around the world and back again. With trust. I am forever grateful. 2x.”

DAMN. marks his third album to reach platinum status, following 2012’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City and 2015’s To Pimp A Butterfly. His 2011 TDE debut, Section.80, was certified gold in April.

DAMN. sold 603,000 album equivalent units in its first week and debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Top 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album charts.

When K. Dot isn’t touring the states for his DAMN., he’s also placing his bets on the upcoming beat battle between Swizz Beatz and Timbaland. Lamar has gone on record saying he wants work with Beatz one day and Swizzy’s 5-year-old son Egypt earned a producer credit on Kendrick’s 2016 untitled unmastered project.
