Birdman Settles Lawsuit Over Tupac Art

Birdman is able to put an end to one of his legal battles. The Cash Money Records co-founder settled a lawsuit out of court, halting a dispute over a piece of Tupac artwork.

Contemporary artist Leonor Anthony dismissed all her claims against Birdman, according to The Jasmine Brand. Anthony will not have the option to refile the lawsuit.

Anthony sued Birdman for his failure to pay $10,000 for two pieces of artwork he purchased from her. After months of not receiving payment, Anthony took the Big Tymers member to court. A judge ruled in her favor, entering a default judgment against Birdman for the unpaid balance plus $407.74 in interest.

Birdman’s continued failure to pay up resulted in a levy against his Miami condo. The amount of execution was $10,407.75 with 4.75 percent interest set until it was paid off, according to court documents.

The mogul was ultimately ordered to appear in court in May. Birdman told the judge he did not even know he was being sued and should not be held in contempt of court. The industry veteran claimed he only learned of the situation when a reporter asked his lawyer about the suit.
