San Francisco, CA

Did you ever dream of owning a vehicle “pimped” by Xzibit and the folks at West Coast Customs? Now, you can live out that fantasy by purchasing a car featured on MTV’s hit show Pimp My Ride.

A Craigslist ad for the San Francisco Bay area is currently attempting to sell a 1990 Toyota Celica that was customized as part of the show. Although the car isn’t in the best shape, the owner is trying to get $3,000 for the somewhat famous ride.

“1990 Toyota Celica was on the show pimp my ride,” the ad reads. “[I] have a extra set of wheels to go with the car if price is agreeable runs drives needs new bushing drives fine city shakes a little when you get on the highway, Will be cleaned more.”

Pimp My Ride was a phenomenon during its run in the mid-2000s, but the show has largely been reduced to a meme. The often impractical customization, such as a fully functional Jacuzzi being added to a van, turned the series into an easy target for mockery and a source of annoyance for Xzibit.

The person behind the Craigslist ad is not the first to sell a car from the show. One man sold his vehicle, valued at $500 before the customization, for $18,000. The latest person to try this likely won’t be so fortunate and will probably be lucky to get the $3,000 asking price.
