Travis Scott’s lawyer has entered an official “not guilty” plea for the rapper after Scott was arrested for allegedly inciting a riot at his Birds Eye View Tour stop in Rogers, Arkansas last week, according to the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
“Travis Scott had no criminal intent,” attorney Drew Ledbetter said. “He only intended to put on a good show.” Ledbetter also waived Scott’s arraignment hearing that is scheduled for June 13, so Scott will not have to return to Rogers, which is just north of Little Rock.
The Platinum-certified rapper (real name Jacques Webster) is facing charges of inciting a riot, endangering a minor and disorderly conduct — all misdemeanors. At the show, concertgoers rushed the stage and several were injured, including a police officer and member of security. Authorities claim the crowd was responding to an order made by Scott.

He spent 12 minutes in jail last Saturday (May 13) before being released. Scott quickly found a clever way to capitalize on the arrest. The Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight rapper made and sold t-shirts with his mug shot on them earlier this week.
This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. Earlier on the Birds Eye View Tour in New York, fans were jumping into the crowd from the second and third story balconies. In 2015, Scott pleaded guilty to reckless conduct for creating chaos at Lollapalooza where he was only on stage for five minutes after he encouraged fans to jump security barriers.
A seemingly smoother show saw Scott perform “goosebumps” a record-breaking 14 times straight at a recent performance in Oklahoma City.
