New York, NY

A statement from a rep for Travis Scott has followed the mayhem that took place at the Houstonian’s concert at New York City’s Terminal 5 this week. During the concert, a handful of fans jumped off the second and third story balconies at the music venue.

In addition to stressing that safety is their utmost concern, the statement revealed that an internal investigation will be made.

“The safety of everyone is held in the highest regard and we are currently conducting an internal investigation to ensure that this does not happen again,” the statement read. “We are deeply concerned about the guest who was injured and intend to offer him our support.”

In the days since the concert, which took place on April 30, numerous videos have been shared online, showing a bird’s eye view of what went down at the Bird’s Eye View Tour.

In one video, Scott temporarily stops his performance to point out one potential jumper. He seemingly dares the concertgoer to attempt the feat.

“I see you. But are you gonna do it? … They gonna catch you. Don’t be scared,” Travis Scott can be heard saying in the video.

One bold fan, who was reportedly injured, took the plunge from the third story balcony. Following his jump, fans ushered him to the front of the stage where Scott attempted to give the jumper one of his rings.

According to TMZ, sources close to Scott have revealed that the concertgoer was not encouraged to jump from the third story as there was a clear difference in safety between the levels. The fan possibly suffered a broken leg and fractured back as a result of the leap.

The investigation mentioned in the statement made on behalf of Scott will also look into whether or not the fan willingly jumped or was pushed.
