Indio, CA – Despite a handful of theories involving the possible link between the Easter holiday and the release of a secret Kendrick Lamar album, rumors of a new K-Dot project dropping on Sunday (April 16) proved to be nothing more than fantasy.

The grief was short-lived for Kendrick fans though, given that the Compton rhymer’s performance at Coachella proved to be a worthy consolation prize.

Serving as headliner on Sunday, the rapper weaved his way through both new and old material as he performed everything from “Money Trees” to a handful of DAMN tracks, including “DNA” and “Element.”

Although Kendrick primarily rocked the stage solo, he did welcome some surprise guests. Among the artists who hit the stage during his headlining set were Travis Scott and fellow TDE spitter ScHoolboy Q.

Even Atlanta rapper Future made an appearance to bless the crowd with a performance of his “Mask Off” record.

The disappearance of any hard feelings over the secret album debacle was evident on Twitter as fans hastily offered praise for Kendrick’s Coachella performance.
