Amsterdam, Netherlands

Drake postponed his Amsterdam show not because he smoked too much weed but because he got food poisoning after eating sushi, per TMZ. Drizzy even had to get medical attention for the illness and still wasn’t fit to perform on the Boy Meets World Tour stop.

The crowd was told the show was postponed after waiting for more than an hour for their beloved star and then proceeded to throw drinks onto the stage.

This is the third show he’s had to postpone in the city. The performance is rescheduled to take place Wednesday, March 29.

Across Europe, Drake’s Boy Meets World tour has been winning rave reviews and delighting fans who’ve spent years waiting to see one of rap’s megastars performing in the flesh.

One city that has had trouble with postponements not just once, not just twice, but three times now is the Dutch capital of Amsterdam — where Drake fans finally lost their cool on Monday night.

According to fan reports on Twitter, the crowd waited around for 75 minutes before they were informed that Drake would be no-showing for a third time in as many months due to illness.

Some of the thousands of fans gathered in the city’s Ziggo Dome took the news badly, and began to hurl makeshift projectiles toward the stage.

Drake’s Amsterdam shows had originally been scheduled for way back in January. He then had to cancel shows on the 20th and 21st, rescheduling for one week later. Again, Drake had to cancel, pushing the show all the way until last night — at which point he canceled again.

Two other dates in Amsterdam, January 28 and February 26, went on according to schedule.

Drake is scheduled to perform at the same arena Tuesday, and Monday’s gig is now expected to take place on Wednesday, March 29 — though we could forgive Drizzy’s Dutch fans for feeling a little jittery. And not for the usual reasons.
