Since Remy Ma rocketed back onto the scene with the explosive Nicki Minaj diss track “SHETHER,” fans have been waiting for Nicki Minaj to fire back some shots of her own.

On Wednesday, Letty, from Los Angeles radio station Real 92.3, had tweeted that the station would be playing “New @NickiMinaj” at 9 p.m., prompting some excitement that Nicki was finally ready to return fire.

Now that we’ve reached 11 a.m. Thursday morning, it seems like this was all a bunch of sound and fury over nothing (for now). No Nicki music has dropped and Letty has deleted the tweets that seemed to suggest there’d be new music from the Queens rap queen.

Rival station Power 106 responded via L.A. Leakers host Justin Credible, who threw some shots over Twitter about the tweet-and-delete, suggesting that a new track was coming Friday on his own station.

Some new Nicki music might still be on the way, though we don’t know if it’s a single from an upcoming album or a clapback for Remy Ma. Reports seem to suggest it’s most likely the former as Nicki’s supposedly not preparing a response track. All we know is that for now, there are a lot of confused and impatient fans on Twitter.

But some didn’t give up, and switched their excitement for Friday.

All we know is that from the amount of people latching on to the #NickiMinajIsComing hashtag, people are more than ready for her to drop a new single — hopefully, we don’t have to wait too long.
