Toward the end of last month, Drake unleashed a new track during a tour stop in Amsterdam that immediately sparked chatter he stole a rap pattern from XXXTENTACION, a rising rapper out of Florida. The teenager took to Twitter recently and lashed out at the OVO honcho, calling him a “pussy nigga” and accusing him of using his long-buzzing “Look At Me!” track as inspiration for the new song.

The 19-year-old artist posted a series of shots toward Drake on Twitter Sunday afternoon (Feb. 19), including a now-deleted tirade that read: “I’m not gonna twitter rap with niggas for stealing my flow, I slap niggas don’t come to Florida,” adding, “It’s funny how the industry let this pussy Nigga sit at the top for so long, all y’all suck kill yourselves, Meh dun chat.”

XXXTENTACION resurfaced later with another barrage of anti-Drake tweets.

“Now this pussy nigga trying to play it save and play it innocent, but it’s cool we all know “hot line bling” was a bite of ‘chacha’,” echoing a popular sentiment about how the Grammy-winning Best Rap Song of 2016 sounded similar to D.R.A.M.’s catchy track.

He added, “I’m not the first nigga he bit, nor will i be the last, drake a pussy nigga money don’t buy you respect.”

XXXTENTACION finalized his salvo by saying Drake’s career is “almost over” and even used the Canadian superstar’s “Fake Love” single in the form of a dig.

“Look At Me!” was released to SoundCloud in December 2015 and has accumulated almost 20 million plays since. The track recently hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time this month — coming in at #95 — no doubt helped by the allegations levied by fans that Drake borrowed elements for his unnamed song.

XXX has been jailed throughout much of his recent rise to popularity, and is apparently still in a Broward County jail awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend.

None of that has slowed down XXX’s notoriety among the rap elite including support from A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, and Lil Uzi Vert.
