ESPN’s Cari Champion’s interview with Big Boi got super awkward when she asked a clever Migos-inspired question about a dog named after actress Halle Berry.

“You got a dog named Halle Berry,” Cari begins. “Is she bad—or is she boujee?”

“She’s dead,” Big Boi replies stonefaced.

Mortified, Champion begins apologizing immediately. Big Boi laughs as he explains Halle Berry was Big Boi’s wife’s dog, anyway, and he admits that he didn’t have much attachment to her.

Even still, things got more awkward for the ESPN personality in her attempt to acknowledge the flub with humor on Twitter. The attempt consequently had her digging herself further into a hole when she tweeted #RIPHalleBerry.

Confused and shocked fans thought she was talking about the Academy Award-winning actress, prompting Cari to correct herself.
