Hip Hop was heavily present at Madison Square Garden yesterday (January 18), as fans showed up to celebrate Yams Day, an annual musical celebration held to honor the late A$AP Yams.

The concert, which went down on the second anniversary of Yams’ death, boasted expected appearances from those in his A$AP Mob crew, but also featured a handful of surprises.

TDE was in the house as both ScHoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar put on for the crowd. Q dived into his Blank Face LP track “Dope Dealer,” while K-Dot got the audience hype as he performed “m.A.A.d city.”

Although it was very much a Hip Hop affair during the Yams Day concert, Canadian crooner The Weeknd did hit the stage for a brief performance of “Low Life.”

The evening provided even more surprises as French Montana graced the stage for a version of “Pop That.”
