Hip Hop Week In Review: Drake, J-Lo, Trey Songz & T.I.

This week in Hip Hop, T.I. and Tiny Harris are headed for divorce while rumors abound about Drake and J-Lo. Controversy has been rife with arrests for Baby Bash, Paul Wall and Trey Songz. Worst of all, Troy Ave ended up in the hospital after he was shot in Brooklyn.

Rap Romance…

Drake and J-Lo shut down the internet this week with a steamy pic on Drake’s Instagram page that fueled rumors that the pair is indeed dating. Drake’s ex, Rihanna, then stoked the flames by unfollowing the two alleged lovebirds on the social media platform. Drizzy and Jenny from the Block ramped it up when they kissed at the singer’s Winter Wonderland Prom.

It’s worse news for T.I., whose wife of six years, Tiny Harris, filed for divorce on December 7. However, there is speculation surrounding a reconciliation for the pair who have been together since 2001 and spent Christmas morning together with their three children.

Rappers In Trouble

Some big names in the Hip Hop world hit some very rough waters over the festive season — singer Trey Songz was thrown out of the MGM in Washington, D.C. before finding himself under arrest in Detroit. The singer is accused of destroying property on stage after his mic was cut off.

Paul Wall and Baby Bash ended up in hot water too, after both were busted on drug offenses in Houston, Texas.

Nobody had it worse than Troy Ave this week, though, who was shot when he was on his way to visit family in Brooklyn over the holidays. The rapper was shot twice while sitting in his car, but is now stable and recovering.
