Lil Wayne backed out of his set at the SummerFall concert in Curacao this weekend. The reason? It depends who you believe.

Weezy was scheduled to headline the festival on the Caribbean island off the northern coast of Venezuela on Saturday (November 26), alongside a monster lineup that also featured Rick Ross, Meek Mill, French Montana, Fat Joe, Jeremih, Yo Gotti and more.

The concert promoters claim that Weezy’s team told them on Friday (November 25) that he’d be unable to perform his set because he’d suffered from a seizure, according to TMZ — though Wayne’s camp told the site that he was backing out of the event over a “breach of contract.”

The promotion company behind the booking posted a statement to Facebook, denying that claim.

There have already been several reports of Wayne having medical emergencies in 2016. This past June, his private jet was forced to land twice after he reportedly suffered seizures while in the air. He was hospitalized after the second landing. Then in July, there were also rumors that he missed a show at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas because of a seizure, though he later dismissed the reports as a “false alarm” on Twitter. His seizures also made headlines in 2012 and 2013.

Wayne and his team have downplayed the medical issues over the years, saying they are a result of his epilepsy rather than his recreational use of lean.
