Few can keep up with all the work Nick Cannon has been up to. From hosting Wild ‘N Out and America’s Got Talent, going back to school at Howard University and now releasing his new mixtape, The Gospel of Ike Turn Up; My Side of the Story the man has kept himself busy.

The 17-track project is inspired by Ike Turner, music exec and Tina Tuner’s husband. Jeremih makes several appearances on the tape, including on the single “If I was Your Man.” Other features come from Gucci Mane, Quavo, Sy Ari Da Kid, K. Michelle and Christina Milian. Cannon enlisted production from Zaytoven, Bobby Kritical and Jahaan Sweet.

Cannon spoke with HipHopDX last month about stepping away from the power of celebrity in order to focus on himself, especially after divorcing his wife, Mariah Carey.

“It can get in the way when you’re trying to find a connection with someone but because I’m so busy trying to work on myself right now,” he said. “I have several friends and associates and people that I’m interested in; people that I may not be so interested in but at the end of the day, I’m not going to stop living my life because you know someone’s story says this or that. And the people who know me and love me understand what it is.”
