Chicago, IL

As America braces itself for one of the most intense presidential elections in U.S. history, a laundry list of celebrities, musicians and athletes have used their massive platforms to voice their support for the either the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton or Republican hopeful Donald Trump (and sometimes neither). Above all, actually casting a ballot this year is particularly crucial.

Chance The Rapper knows that and in an effort to encourage people to vote, he’s hosting a free concert on Monday (November 7) he’s dubbed “Parade To The Polls: A Live Show of Democracy” in conjunction with the non-profit organization Social Works. Early this morning (November 5), he posted the official flyer for the Chicago event on Twitter and emphasized the #StayWokeandVote event is for everyone regardless of party affiliation.

Held at the Virgin Hotel, the event features performances from Twin Peaks, Taylor Bennett (Chance’s brother), Malcolm London, and other special guests. The most innovative part about it is the polling station that will be located right inside the venue, making it simple for those attending the show to vote on the spot.

“This election is very important, a chance for new leaders and new opportunities to emerge,” Chance said in a statement. “SocialWorks and I are proud to partner with Virgin Hotels Chicago, Boost Your Voice and The TurboVote Challenge to give everyone a voice in the democratic process and encourage people to vote, both locally and nationally.”

In addition to “Parade To The Polls,” the 23-year-old rapper has offered voter registration stations at a few concerts during his Magnificent Coloring World Tour and partnered with the NAACP for his #StayWokeAndVote campaign. He also hosted a free town hall meeting with his nonprofit organization called “Flex Your Vote,” where they discussed the issues for state and local elections.

Last month, Chance attended President Barack Obama’s final state dinner alongside Frank Ocean, Jerry Seinfeld, James Taylor, Gwen Stefani, Mario Batali, Roberto Benigni, and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
