Ice Cube is no stranger to the big screen. The former-N.W.A rapper has nailed roles in major movies such as Friday, Boyz N The Hood and Three Kings, and now he’s saying “Please sir, I want some more.”

Cube has landed the role of Fagin in Disney’s musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ beloved novel Oliver Twist, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Fagin is the old man who leads a bunch of cockney pickpockets around London and takes Oliver under his wing.

Fagin’s most famous song in the musical is “You’ve Got To Pick A Pocket Or Two,” check it out below and see if you can imagine an Ice Cube version.

Ice Cube has gone down the family route before, most notably starring in the Are We There Yet franchise, but it’ll be a whole other experience watching Cube try his hand at playing an old Dickensian man.

Cube is not only starring in this latest version of Oliver Twist, which has been adapted for the big screen at least twice, but he is also slated to write the screenplay alongside The Firm CEO Jeff Kwatinetz.

Ice Cube will also reprise his role as producer, just as he was for many of his movies, including 2015’s Straight OuttaCompton. So it’s safe to say that Cube has let go of the grievances he expressed on Public Enemy’s “Burn Hollywood Burn.”

Thomas Kail, most famous for his work on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway musicals Hamilton and In The Heights, is slated to direct the project. Kail is clearly making more forays into the world of TV and cinema, as evidenced by his executive producer role on upcoming FOX TV series “93 ‘Til Infinity” alongside rapper Common.
