Over the last few weeks, music leaks have ran rampant, with artists expressing their frustration with the unknown culprits.
Most recently, following news of the leaks of songs from Future and Chance The Rapper, a song from the Suicide Squadsoundtrack managed to find its way online. The song, titled “Heathens,” was created by the music duo, Twenty One Pilots.
According to TMZ, just one day before the unauthorized release of “Heathens,” the song was sent to a handful of people, including band members and label execs.

The song was uploaded to Dropfile.io and was officially released by Atlantic Records the next day. Atlantic, which subsequently lost out in revenue due to the leak, has issued a subpoena to Reddit to find the person who posted “Heathens.”
The Suicide Squad soundtrack boasts a heavy Hip Hop presence, with songs from Lil Wayne, Eminem, Action Bronson, and Kevin Gates.
Additionally, the action flick stars two rappers-turned-actors, Will Smith and Common.

Suicide Squad will hit theaters on August 5. The soundtrack to the film also has a scheduled release of August 5, according to iTunes.
