Pitbull received his Hollywood star in an emotional ceremony held over the weekend.

With millions of records sold, Miami rapper Pitbull now joins the likes of Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, and Quincy Jones as a musician with his own star on the iconic Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

The ceremony honoring Pitbull took place on July 15, and was attended by the likes of Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell and Lil Jon.

Although Pitbull has had quite the lucrative career, he stressed that the journey has been what’s most important to him.

“I use these platforms to speak to you all and for you all to understand that for me it’s never been about money, it’s never been about fame—It’s been about a journey,” Pitbull said during the ceremony, according to The Source. “And that journey being that it’s about our culture. It’s about coming from nothing to something…It’s about being the prime example of what the American dream is and what it embodies.”

In video captured by Uncle Luke, Pitbull became emotional while giving thanks to his friends and family.
