Snoop Dogg bringing the party to the Democratic National Convention.
CNN is reporting that Long Beach, California rapper Snoop Dogg will serve as the headlining performer at the “Unity Party,” which will take place at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, later this month.
The “Unity Party” will take place on July 28 at Philly’s Electric Factory.

In addition to Snoop, Los Lobos, a rock band known for records like “La Bamba” and “We Belong Together,” is also scheduled to perform at the event, which is held for donors.
Snoop Dogg doesn’t serve as the only Hip Hop act to perform at a Democratic National Committee event. Last year, Kanye West was scheduled to perform at an event the organization held in San Francisco.
Jay Z and Mary J. Blige have also worked with the Democratic National Committee.
