Desiigner’s XXL Freshman freestyle got the Hip Hop world’s attention. The haunting yet catchy hook is at 2.8 million views since dropping on YouTube on June 23, with the closest offering from the other XXL Freshman freestyles being Kodak Black’s at 900,000 hits.

The 45-second a cappella verse generated significant buzz, with listeners either loving it or hating it, and producers adding their own flavor by remixing it with a backing soundtrack.

Now, it looks like Desiigner is expanding the snippet into a full song.
