After giving birth to her baby girl Iman Tayla Shumpert, Jr. in December, G.O.O.D. Music’s first lady, Teyana Taylor announces that she could be releasing her forthcoming album as soon as this summer.
Over the summer of last year, the Harlem, New York native unleashed The Cassette Tape 1994 EPwhich followed her 2014 debut album, VII.
Between being a new mom and fianceé to Cleveland Cavaliers’ shooting guard Iman Shumpert, Tey says she finally has the time to gear up for her next musical release.

“We’re already recording on my days off, we’re just recording,” Teyana says in an exclusive interview with HotNewHipHop‘s Baker. “I already made them wait long enough, so it’s time to just keep the music going, going, going, hopefully we have an album out by the summertime.”
Teyana is currently on her VII Unplugged Tour which is set to wrap up May 17 in Los Angeles at the Belasco Theatre.
