Chance the Rapper has been hospitalized and will not perform at “Night For NYC” tonight (May 9) as originally billed.

Billboard reports that the Chicago rapper will not be in attendance at the show, which benefits the Robin Hood organization. The publication did not cite a reason for his hospitalization.

Joey Bada$$ took to Twitter to wish his fellow independent rapper well and announce that he will replace Chance.

Chance the Rapper has planned a special show in New York City on Monday (May 9) billed as a Night For NYC at Terminal 5 with a special guest in conjunction with the poverty-fighting organization Robin Hood, XXL reports.

Robin Hood finds, funds and creates over 200 of the most effective programs, to help 1.8 million New Yorkers learn and earn their way out of poverty,” organization’s official website reads.

The Night For NYC event is for the 21 and up crowd with drinks provided by Diageo, who houses the brands of Ciroc, Crown Royal, and Johnnie Walker. Concertgoers are asked to wear green and will receive food as part of their purchase as well.

The Chicago rapper previously helped out homeless in his hometown last year by raising over $100,000 during his Warmest Winter initiative in partnership with the Detroit organization The Empowerment Plan. The campaign was able to distribute 1,000 coats to Chicago’s homeless.

With Chance’s forthcoming project Chance 3 is set to be released in a few weeks, the rapper is slated to perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Thursday (May 5).
